Inspired by the koaʻe and the ua that descends from the Koʻolau, this design reflects the relationship between our mountains, wai, and ʻāina at Waipao. The koaʻe soars through the rain, while the patterned ua represents the life-giving waters that flow from the mountains, through our streams, and into the ʻāina below. Together, they honor the natural systems that sustain Waipao and the kuleana to mālama them for generations to come.
