Ways to Engage
Whether you're a teacher planning a field trip, a school seeking educational partnerships, a business looking for meaningful team building opportunities, or an organization hoping to connect your group to ʻāina, Papahana Kuaola offers programs designed to inspire learning, stewardship, and lasting relationships with place.

KUPU A LAU
Education is at the heart of our work, with Waipao at the core of how we teach and learn. Our educators conduct ʻāina-based education opportunities for students, educators, and community members from keiki to kupuna. We offer a variety of hands-on learning, stewardship, team building, and educational experiences on the ʻāina and in the classroom. We can work with you to develop a customized experience that aligns with your group’s goals, interests, and needs.

ʻILIʻILIKAUHALE
ʻIliʻilikauhale is the foundation of Papahana Kuaola’s land stewardship and site management. We care for 63 acres of ʻāina through restoration and stewardship, including loʻi, forests, gardens, streams, and community spaces. We remove invasive species, restore and replenish native species, and maintain the ʻāina and kahawai so it remains accessible to all. With ʻāina as our kumu, we connect people to place through community workdays and volunteer service. ʻIliʻilikauhale also oversees the Kahua ʻAi AmeriCorps program, providing conservation experience through the lens of ʻike Hawaiʻi while nurturing the next generation of ʻāina stewards and leaders.
